Description
Blackhawk is the newest arrowleaf clover variety currently available. It is resistant to more viruses and fungal diseases than any other arrowleaf variety on the market. Excellent production for forage pastures, wildlife and cover crops/soil improvement. Blackhawk Arrowleaf Clover has multiple disease tolerance (both bean yellow mosaic virus and Pythium ultimum) and was released by Texas A&M AgriLife Research in 2012. It was developed for tolerance to the fungal soil pathogen Pythium ultimum and for tolerance to Bean Yellow Mosaic Virus (BYMV). Blackhawk seed are 95% black with only slight variation in degree of dark color. BlackHawk is also resistant to BYMV induced lethal wilt and shows tolerance to the other components of BYMV disease. Blackhawk is slightly earlier in maturity than Apache arrowleaf. Non-GMO
Plant 10-15 lbs per acre at ¼”-½” in the Fall. Arrowleaf thrives in sandy loams with a pH of 6-7 in well-drained soils. This seed is coated and pre-inoculated, so no additional inoculation is needed.
