Description
Osage soybeans are one of the older varieties of soybean. They are an annual, warm season legume and when mature offer great cover and food for wildlife such as deer, duck, turkey, quail, and other game. They will not regrow after early grazing and deer have such a high preference for soybeans that early browse pressure can annihilate the crop. With this being said, it is best to fence off smaller fields and food plots until mature.
Soybeans are a great candidate for staggered planting dates allowing season long production. They can be planted with other crops such as grain sorghum, corn, clovers or other annual warm season legumes.
Plant 40-50 lbs/acre in rows or 50-60 lbs/acre drilled May-June.
